....Hill said: "It is with regret that I have decided to resign from my position at Bacup Borough. It has not been an easy decision but the simple truth is the team is massively under achieving this season, after the success of winning the Challenge Cup last season, and a change is needed.
"The squad of players at the club this season is in my opinion the best the club have had in the four seasons since being at the club but for whatever reason the best is not being got out of them.
"Anyone that knows Brent Peters and myself well enough will tell you that we are both winners, and very passionate about the game. They will also be surprised that our working relationship lasted this long. There have been plenty of heated discussions over the past four seasons between us, but they have never been taken personally, only professionally. This allied by an undoubted mutual respect for each other are the reasons why it did so.
"Unfortunately I feel my time has come to move on. I would like to thank Brent for giving me the opportunity of working with him. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club, it has given me an insight and experience of working at the NWCFL Level, and the hard work and dedication it takes just to get a team out to compete at this level let alone win something.
"There are some great people working behind the scenes at the football club who are not just content to keep Bacup Borough FC going, but who are determined to hopefully take the club forward. I would like to thank them all for welcoming me into the family and wish them every success in the future."
