Holloway Leaves Rooks
Gary Holloway

This announcement follows a number of meetings and conversations between the player and the club over the last few months.

In June 2011, Holloway was signed on a two-year contract with Lewes. He had injured his knee playing for his previous club Farnborough in early May 2011.

In July 2011 the Board were informed that Holloway had re-injured the knee in a pre-season training session and would be unable to play until late October.

Throughout the winter it seemed as if Holloway would make his comeback but it did not occur. Recently, he told the Board that he did not know whether he would be able to play for the club this season.

Therefore, the Board asked Holloway to consider a revised financial deal to reflect these circumstances. Unfortunately it was not possible to arrive at mutually acceptable terms. Thus, both parties have agreed to cancel the original contract.
