Richie Bourne, manager of Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West club Abingdon United, has added two more to his squad.

Richie Bourne welcomes Simeon Howell

The experienced Simeon Howell joins having previously been with league rivals Didcot Town.

Howell, a former pro at Reading, has a great deal of experience and his previous clubs include Thatcham Town, Farnborough Town, Fleet Town and Basingstoke Town.

Bourne said: “I really like the lad. He`s very powerful box-to-box player and will add quality as well as some very good experience to the team.”

Also re-joining is forward Leon Bird, who was very unfortunate having dislocated his shoulder in the first few weeks of last season.

Bourne added: “He missed nearly all the season which I know was very frustrating for him. But he`s now back to full fitness and I'm expecting big things from him.”
