.....Republic of Ireland international Alan O'Brien
O`Brien came through the ranks at Newcastle United where he made five appearances, four of them off the bench, and he played a similar number of games on loan at Carlisle United.
A two-year stay in the Scottish Premier League with Hibernian followed where he played half a century of games, over half of them off the bench.
He returned to England to join Swindon Town in 2009 and made thirty-seven appearances, including thirteen starts for the Robins.
He then joined Yeovil Town but after featuring in fourteen games left Huish Park in January and joined Gateshead until the end of the season when he became a free agent.
Hungerford boss Bobby Wilkinson said: "It's a great signing for us and he will be in the squad that goes to Bridgwater for the opening game of the season."
It`s the second coup for Hungerford this summer after originally signing former Reading favourite James Harper briefly before he earned a contract with Doncaster Rovers earlier this month.
