Hunt, who enjoyed a loan spell with City during the first season in the Conference North, goes straight into the squad to face Gainsborough Trinity for the season opener on Saturday.
Hunt, 22, was a youngster on West Ham`s books before moving to Bristol Rovers in 2008.
He played fourteen times for the Pirates` first-team and also enjoyed loan spells with Gloucester and Newport County before moving on to Dover Athletic, Lewes, Weston-super-Mare and, towards the end of last season, Gloucester`s league rivals Bishop`s Stortford.
Tigers` boss Dave Mehew said: “Ben has worked hard to earn his place in the squad.
“I always say I want players to show passion and Ben has come here and done that. He’s finished the top scorer from pre-season and played in every game.
“Ben gives us another option up front and he can play out on the left too, which gives us a bit more versatility.”
Seventeen-year-old former Swindon Town goalkeeper Conor Thompson has also signed after impressing in matches against Yate Town and Bristol Rovers.
