Impressive Tanners Make It Two From Two

Leatherhead joined Harrow Borough and Leiston on six points in the Bostik League Premier Division after beating a still point-less Worthing 3-0 at Fetcham Grove on Wednesday night.

A good crowd of 423 saw the Tanners dominate most of the first half but were thwarted by some decent defending and excellent goalkeeping from the Rebels` Lucas Covolan.

But right on the stroke of half-time, the deadlock was broken when long-serving Jerry Nnamani powered home Sammy Moore’s free-kick.

The second half carried on in much the same way, and it wasn`t until the 72nd minute that the hosts could relax a little when Chike Kandi smashed the ball home from close range after Jack Midson`s original effort had come back off the post.

And then a fine strike from sub Sam Blackman made it 3-0 in stoppage time.
