Tooting and Mitcham manager Frank Wilson is pleased with his summer work so far as the Terrors prepare for their Step 3 return.
The club are about to enter the Bostik Premier after success in the Ryman South last season.
Expectations are high with Wilson’s exciting team claiming the championship and they begin their pre-season friendly games this weekend with a match against Slough Town.
“The first pre-season game always bring a bit of excitement for a manager,” said the Tooting boss.
“It’s been a good summer for the club and already we have enjoyed team bonding.
“We have signed Juevan Spencer, a really highly rated winger/full back from Corinthian Casuals, re-signed Chace Oneill on contract and leading goal scorers Mike Dixon and Billy Dunn.
“Jake Baxter – who spent last season sidelined with an injury he sustained in pre season last year – is back now and looking fitter and sharper than ever.
“We have also signed the majority of last season’s squad with the exception of a few who we have agreed loan deals for.
“We’re looking in good shape for the new season and we’re excited about what’s ahead of us.
“It’s a challenge but we are always up for a challenge.”
