In addition to Hucknall his previous clubs include Notts County, Lincoln City, Gedling Town and Rainworth Miners Welfare.
He also enjoyed a spell in Australia with Sorrento FC and Morley Windmills.
Meanwhile, Carl Slater has insisted that ending his nine-year association with Gresley was nothing to do with manager Gary Norton.
The 29-year-old skipper has joined Mickleover Sports after admitting his form had not come up to scratch this term.
He said: “I wanted to put the record straight because Gaz has been getting a lot of stick, with people saying it was his fault that I left.
“It was nothing to do with him - my form hasn’t been good this season.
“When I got left out, I deserved to be, and it was a wake-up call for me.
“I wanted to freshen myself up and Mickleover are two levels up, and it’s better grounds to play at.”
Slater appeared 341 times for Gresley and predecessors Gresley Rovers, scoring thirty goals.
He won the supporters’ player of the season award in 2004/05.
