....awarded the ChromaSport United Counties League Premier Division top goalscorer award for August.

Confirmation from the UCL was sent saying that this award has not been shared previously, meaning that the fight is now on for both Washington, who won the 2011/12 award last season, and Gibbs, who has recently signed from Peterborough Northern Star in the close season, to remain at the top of the scoring charts.

Washington netted in the Saints 3-2 defeat to Huntingdon Town in the FA Cup but there was much confusion over Gibbs' third goal away to Desborough Town with many assuming it would be awarded as an own goal, but in the end a decision was made to award this to Gibbs.

Saints co-manager Jez Hall said: "They have struck up an incredible partnership already and it was definitely noticeable in the two games against Desborough and Wellingborough Town.

"Hopefully they can continue with this on Saturday when we take the trip to Spalding United for the top of the table clash."
