Hallmark Security League Division One club Whitchurch Alport announced that co-manager Carl Everall would be stepping down.

Everall has left to join SkyBet League Two outfit Crewe Alexandra in a full-time coaching role.

A statement from the club reads: “Whitchurch Alport FC announce that joint-manager Carl Everall has decided to accept a full-time coaching role at Crewe Alexandra. As a result, he will be wore the red jersey for the last time on Monday evening – ironically in the friendly against his new employees – as well as relinquishing his role as manager.

“It’s a terrific opportunity for Carl and this club is all about progressing its players, management and staff. He leaves with our best wishes. We’d like to place on record our sincere thanks for all Carl’s contributions these last fifteen months.

“This leaves Luke Goddard in sole charge of first-team affairs. Supported by the backroom staff at Yockings Park, Luke will receive our full support and backing with focus now entirely on the season ahead”.
