Jones Back as Anslow Quits
Darren Anslow

The man who guided the Greatness Park outfit to their best ever finish in the Kent League, accepted chairman Tony Smart's invitation to return, as a dramatic chain of events unfolded over the weekend, culminating in Darren Anslow resigning.

The club issued statement on Monday morning. It read: "Following the unexpected resignation of our first-team manager Darren Anslow, the chairman and Board of Sevenoaks Town FC wish to announce that Simon Jones and his management staff are returning to the club after an absence of two years, when Simon had to step down for personal reasons.

"The club welcomes Simon and his team back and offer him their full support for the forthcoming season.

“We would also at this time like to wish Darren and his team all the best in whatever they decide to do and thank him for all his hard work over last season." Anslow leaves after twelve months in charge - the highlight being the club reaching their first Kent Senior Trophy final.
