The match is due to be played at the Sports Ground on Tuesday, August 7th, with an 8pm kick-off.

The Bideford select team - captained by long-serving defender Ian Down - will be drawn from a pool of around thirty players who featured for the club during their rise through the Toolstation Western League and into the League Southern.

The kick-off time is 8pm allowing for more distant players to travel outside rush hour and enjoy the pre-match warm up under the celebrity team manager.

It is intended to rotate both teams at half-time to ensure everyone - including Sean Joyce - enjoys actual playing time on the pitch.

Tickets will cost £5 for adults while accompanied children will be admitted free. The Robins Nest Club House will be open from 6pm with both the ground and first floor bars open to the public. Players and officials will enjoy a hot buffet supper following the match, while the Supporters Club Refreshment Wagon will be available for non-alcoholic refreshments and hot snacks.

A statement from the club reads: “We appeal to all those supporters who have seen the remarkable success enjoyed by Sean for these past fourteen seasons to turn out in force to show their appreciation and gratitude to "the man for all seasons.”
