....up as he aims to increase his attacking options.
Greene, whose side entertain Glassworld Stadium tenants Cambridge University Press tonight, looks set to sign up several of his triallists.
Central midfielder George Thompson, left-winger Claudiu Hoban and former Soham Town Rangers striker Deakan Napier could be close to earning deals.
And the boss believes his side are making progress in their pre-season campaign following Monday night’s 3-1 defeat to a young Sunderland XI.
Greene said: "The first half was better and there was nothing in it. We had four or five really good opportunities to get in down the left.
"Going in behind 2-1 at half-time was a bit harsh on us as we gifted them two goals. Danny Fitzsimons made a mistake for the first one and we’ve been done on the counter-attack for the second.
"We’ll come out better for it as we’ve had to keep the tempo up against a fit side and keep possession against a side pressing us. It will stand us in good stead.
"There are one or two we’ll probably take on. George is doing okay and Claudiu obviously out on the left, and Deaksy didn’t have a very good game Monday but he had an excellent game on Saturday.
"When we joined we had a squad lacking wide players and forward-thinking players, so we’re gradually getting them into the squad."
Meanwhile, former Republic of Ireland midfielder Mark Kinsella has linked up with Greene following a spell in charge of Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central side Daventry Town, and the manager thinks he can make a difference.
"He’s doing it for nothing, so to speak, so we’ll use his experience and hopefully he can help us out," said Greene.
