Blue Square Bet

....before sending them out to face Blue Square Bet South basement club Truro City on Saturday.
Arguably the form team in the league right now, the Seagulls are in buoyant mood after beating West rivals Bath City 2-1 at Twerton Park on Boxing Day.
That result moved the seaside outfit up to sixth place and announced Weston as serious contenders for the end-of-season play-offs.
But Laird insists recent successes will count for nothing if his team falls short of expectations in Cornwall.
Cash-strapped Truro may be fourteen points adrift of safety at the foot of the table, but Weston's manager knows better than to take anything for granted.
He recalled: "Truro beat us last season and we know we cannot afford to take our foot off the pedal.
"They have problems off the pitch and have been docked 10 points because of those, but they remain dangerous on the pitch.
"We cannot afford to go there thinking we only have to turn up to take the points. We have to keep doing the things that have put us where we are.
"We're on an excellent run and now is the time to stay focussed and keep it going."
Weston found themselves in a similar position in January this year - one place off the play-off positions after a five-match winning sequence - only to suffer a slump during the run in and finish in mid-table.
But Laird feels his squad is now better-prepared to deal with the pressure of a promotion push.
He said: "We learned a lot from what happened last season and the lads are all another year older and wiser.
"We're not getting carried away by our position and we're not going to make the mistake of looking too far ahead.
"It is important we take things one step at a time and enjoy it."
