Taylor was one of Villa's regular youth team strikers in 2010/11, bagging eight goals in the Barclays Premier Academy League.
His tally included a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Bristol City.
Taylor also forced his way into the reserve squad on several occasions then and is now a regular.
He burst onto the scene in 2009/10 after impressing scouts while playing for Baker Joiner Midland Alliance side Coventry Sphinx.
The striker's biggest moment to date came in the FA Youth Cup semi-final, when his winning strike against Newcastle United in front of a big crowd at St James' Park, sent Villa into the final.
Meanwhile, Scott Barrow has signed a contract extension and will be at The Lamb now until the end of the 2012/13 season
Barrow, a Welsh under-23 international, signed for the Lambs in for the 2010/11 season from Port Talbot Town, relocating to the Midlands.
He had been with Port Talbot since the age of 16 and was voted by his peers in the 2009/10 `Team of the Season`.
