....night that was a fine advertisement for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South football.

The Zebras led 2-0 with goals from Adam Lee after 9 minutes and a stunning curler from Liam Davis on 27 minutes before the home side replied with three goals of their own – including two from the penalty spot from Stephen Spriggs after 38 minutes and then in the 89th minute by Jason Turner to clinch the points after Dan Quigley had levelled matters on 66 minutes.

The Linnets` victory lifted them into second spot in the table.

Sheffield FC leap-frogged Gresley FC into fourth after also winning by the odd goal in five at The Moat.

Chris Adam gave Club an early 4th minute lead, but the hosts scored twice in 3 minutes midway through the second half from Phil Massingham and Marc Goodfellow to go into half-time ahead.

Seven minute after the break Aaron Martin equalised and then Shoquilee McKenzie won it for the visitors 14 minutes from time.

The other Tuesday game saw Newcastle Town and Mickleover Sports share a 1-1 draw at the Lyme Valley Stadium where Neville Thompson`s 39th minute effort looked to have won it for the hosts until Dominic Allen equalised in stoppage time.
