.....last Saturday which pushed them three points clear at the top of the Ryman League Division One South table.

A first half goal by Luke Blewden led to an equaliser before half-time and the game was sealed through two second half goals by Baff Addae.

Maggs said: “Herne Bay were very difficult opponents to come up against. They had a 100 per cent away record and we were unbeaten too in the league, so something was going to give.

“The first half was nip and tuck before we scored a really well worked goal from Luke.

“They scored a scruffy goal but in the second half we dominated and played some really attractive football, got our noses in front and ran out comfortable winners.

“Everyone is working their socks off. We grafted all the way until the end and kept the ball down and played. I don’t want to go overboard but I think we are bordering on something special.”
