The pacey winger first caught the eye of the Magpies’ hierarchy seven weeks ago when he bagged a wonder goal in the Grecians’ 4-0 victory at the Avenue Stadium during a pre-season friendly.

And the 19-year-old could make his Dorchester debut in tomorrow night’s home clash with Eastleigh.

Dorchester boss Phil Simkin, whose side are now second in the table after winning 2-1 at Sutton United on Saturday, said: “We’ve signed Jake on a month’s loan and he will be in the squad for tomorrow night. “He scored a superb goal against us in pre-season and we are very grateful to Steve Perryman and Exeter City for helping us out.

“Jake is a first-year pro and with us picking up an injury on Saturday, the timing of his arrival could not be better.

“Unfortunately Jamie Symes has done his groin and could be out for a few weeks.”

Ashley Nicholls and Ben Watson scored their first goals for the club at the weekend as the Magpies triumphed in Surrey.

Simkin added: “It was one hell of a result and I’m absolutely delighted.

“We totally outplayed them in the first half and led 2-0 but in the second half they battered us. However, our players refused to lie down.”
