He and midfielder Adam Fricker have both agreed to continue playing for the Robins.
New Chard boss and ex-Yeovil Town player Nick Flory said: "I'm really pleased that Jason and Adam are staying with the club.
"I've known them for a number of years and I'm hoping they will help the young players to develop."
Flory added he was keeping his 'ear to the ground' with regards possible new signings. "I've made a few phone calls and I'm hoping those players will come along for pre-season training," he added. Flory, who has taken over from Glyn Shaw, met all the players for the first time at a players' meeting on Tuesday night.
