Mariners Come To Locked-Out Neighbours Aid

Late last week, Evo-Stik League North club Skelmersdale United`s Uretek Stadium was seized late by order of the current landlord with bailiffs and locksmiths attending the premises without warning to prevent entry.

It didn`t prevent Skem from making an ultimately successful trip to Tadcaster Albion on Saturday when their off-field problems seemed to galvanise the team to a 2-1 win.

Now Evo-Stik League Premier neighbours Marine AFC have stepped in to help Skelmersdale and have offered the use of the Marine Travel Arena for two forthcoming home games this Saturday against Radcliffe Borough and on Saturday, 4th November against Mossley AFC.

Skelmersdale have accepted the kind offer which has now been ratified by the Northern Premier League.
