....triumph against fancied Blackfield & Langley on Saturday.

The Robins started brightly and went ahead early in the first half when Matt Palmer delivered for Danny Finnigan to score.

Danny Urry doubled the hosts' advantage with a fine volley from the edge of the penalty box shortly before half-time.

It was 3-0 not long after half-time when Vinnie Rusher eased past several defenders before firing past the visiting keeper.

Downton scored their final goal midway through the second half when Nic Turpin smartly in a one-on-one from 20 yards.

Paul Preston did come close for the visitors twice late on, but Downton held out for a comfortable and impressive win.

Verwood Town began life in the Premier Division with a 4-4 draw at Alton Town. The visitors opened the scoring after Jack Satterley scored.

The visitors added a second before Satterley made it three with his second of the game. Alton pulled it back to 3-2, all after only 15 minutes before the visitors scored again.

Alton, however, kept up with their fight back and scored twice again in the game to salvage a 4-4 draw.

Fareham Town won 2-0 away at Totton and Eling. Wayne Boud put the visitors ahead in the first half and Graham Lindsey made it 2-0 in the second half.

Christchurch produced a fine display, winning 3-1 away at Horndean. Mark Smith put the visitors ahead after 12 minutes and Russell Cook doubled the visitors' advantage midway through the first half.

Ross Lloyd made it 3-0 after 28 minutes and, although Horndean pulled a goal back on 32 minutes, the visitors held on for all three points.
