McCrae joined the club at the start of last season after being released by Peterborough United, for whom he made two senior appearances.

He had a spell on loan with Histon two seasons ago, and was also briefly on loan at Kingstonian last term.

Manager Paul Doswell said: "Romone has worked very hard in pre-season and he is a very talented young player. But the way the squad has shaped up means that he is not guaranteed a place in the starting eleven and he is at that stage of his career where he really needs to be playing regularly and so we agreed that it is in his best interests to find another club.

“We wish him well. He could certainly start to attract the League scouts again if he takes his chance to shine."
