.....to add a goalscorer and a defender to his ranks before the end of next month.
Linnets enjoyed a steady season in the North West Counties League Premier Division, finishing the campaign a creditable fifth in the table.
But for McNally, there is to be no let up. The manager is already planning for next season, as he looks to mount a serious promotion assault at the Millbank Linnets Stadium.
And he has already lined up a couple of targets. "There are one or two areas I want to focus on in the close-season," he said. "I have a couple of players who have committed to playing for us next season, but the key thing is firming that up.
"These are lads who have played at Northern Premier League level, who will be a real bonus for the squad. Hopefully we can sort them out."
McNally, though, says he has no plans to rip up his current playing staff, after what he described as an "excellent" campaign.
"Obviously at this stage there will be lots of talk," he said. "Players move around all the time at this level, and the likelihood is that a couple will move on.
"But, generally, we are very happy with what we have got.
"We probably just need to strengthen in the centre of defence, and find a goalscorer.
"If you look at our league position, our goal difference was plus eight, which compared to the sides around us is really weak.
"That is where we have let ourselves down.
"If we can address that next season, we will be in a far better position I feel.
"I believe in these players. They’ve had a fantastic season and set the club up really well for next year.
"They just need supplementing by a couple of quality players."
