Biggleswade Town have announced another new signing since Lee Allinson took over as manager, with Jonny McNamara joining the Waders from Evo-Stik Southern League Central rivals Hitchin Town.
In three spells with Hitchin, McNamara made 170 appearances, scoring 39 goals.
The 24-year-old right-sided midfielder re-joined the Canaries from Hemel Hempstead Town last year.
His other previous clubs include Arlesey Town, Barton Rovers and Stotfold and he also played for Hitchin Town youth.
Hitchin manager Mark Burke told the club`s official website: “I would like to thank Jonny for his time with Hitchin Town. He has been a real character that has brightened the dressing room with his jovial and comedic ways. A popular player at the Club he will be missed by all and not least me. Good luck to him in the future and I am sure our paths will cross again Macca La!”
Allinson said: “Jonny is a very good winger with loads of talent and will be a great addition to the team. I am really looking forward to working with him as he will bring loads of quality to the line-up”.
