Midland League Division One club Heather St John’s have confirmed that manager Stephen Rigby has moved to add to his backroom staff for the new upcoming campaign with the appointment of Alex Baird as assistant-manager.
Rigby said: “I was massively disappointed to lose Andy Reece as my assistant-manager last season due to personal commitments but one I understand, and I speak with Reecey regularly and is a good friend. I’m sure he will be involved in some capacity as time allows him. But it was only right to look to bring somebody onboard I can trust and can offer me the level of support required and after my first initial conversation with Alex I knew he ticked all the boxes, we then engaged in further conversations and a further meeting to discuss the role but I’m delighted to appoint Alex and furthermore I’m relishing the opportunity of working with him to push the club forward.”

Baird has brief experience as a manager with a short spell in charge of Southam United.
