....after suffering a broken collar bone in the first game of the season on 13th August.
The young left-back sustained the injury on his Blues debut against Carlton Town just five weeks ago but has been given the all clear to start playing again and could be back in the squad by the end of this month.
However, there was less good news concerning fellow defender Ashley Woolliscroft, who was unable to resume after the break in the home win over Newcastle Town last week after aggravating a groin strain.
Woolliscroft has been nursing the injury since limping out of the home defeat against Sutton Coldfield Town on 23rd August and he missed the FA Cup win over Tipton Town on Saturday after failing a fitness test.
Meanwhile, midfielder Danny Holmes came back into the starting line-up against Tipton after returning from holiday and lasted 75 minutes before being substituted, whilst veteran midfielder Wayne Corden played for 80 minutes at Eccleshall as he works his way back to match fitness.
However, new striker Tim Grice will have to wait until later this month before making his debut for Leek.
Grice was signed from North West Counties League outfit Eccleshall on the eve of the game at Brigg Town on 10th September and was a non-playing substitute in that game. He was also an unused sub in the narrow home victory over Newcastle Town last week and missed the FA Cup game against Tipton because he was cup-tied.
With Mark Fitton and Michael Morton still recovering from injuries, Blues` director of football Neil Baker has extended the loan of the versatile Michael Thomas from Macclesfield Town for a further month, with the current agreement due to end on 11th October.
