Moffat Blow for West Auckland
Mattie Moffat

.....their FA Carlsberg Vase final against STL Northern League First Division rivals Dunston UTS.

Moffat suffered a fractured cheekbone in the defeat at Ashington on Saturday, and the injury is worse than first thought.

West manager Peter Dixon said: "Mattie is going to see a doctor on Wednesday, and any operation won't be for at least another seven days. Much depends on what the specialist says, but at this stage he's not in the final."

On the plus side, left-back Matthew Coad is playing again, his ankle injury wasn't as bad as first feared.
