.....the forthcoming campaign.

After impressive showings against Airbus UK Broughton and Morecambe in the last couple of home friendly matches, Moore has trimmed his squad to a final twenty players.

Six players have been loaned to other clubs whilst a further four have been released. Moore stated: “It is always difficult to let players go, you just hope that your decisions are the correct ones and those players do not come back to haunt you. I feel we have cover in every position and I am very pleased with the final squad, although the difficult task now begins.

“Each week I have to choose a starting eleven and five substitutes with four left out, and these lads may not want to sit in the stands for too long. We have a strong squad and I can only hope they see the bigger picture that it’s a long season and chances to play will come. It’s important they know also that if they perform they will keep a shirt.”

Despite beating Welsh Premier side Airbus UK and drawing against a strong Morecombe outfit, Moore is keen to point out that if a player becomes available that will improve the squad he will be trying his very best to sign him.

Moore continued: “I do believe players will become available during the season but they have to be within our budget, better than what we already have and be able to fit into the club and squad. It is vital we have stability and consistency this season and we will only get that with players playing together regularly, rather than being constantly changed week to week.

“We are ready for the season and I am really excited about seeing the lads perform to their best because it may surprise them how well this season could be for them.”
