Gooding previously had a loan spell with Moors in the 2010/11 season making 6 starts for the club, including being an integral part of the memorable 4-2 victory away at AFC Telford United in November.
Gooding was on the books of Coventry City as a youngster, and also represented England in his youth, including making two appearances for his country at the 2005 UEFA European under-17 Championships in a side that included current England player Theo Walcott.
After leaving Coventry he had spells with Burton Albion, Rushden & Diamonds, Corby Town and two separate spells at Hinckley.
Last season at Hinckley he captained the side, making thirty-seven appearances for the Knitters, scoring four goals.
