Mossley Stay Top - Bears Break Duck
Kayde Coppin

....Stainton Park against Radcliffe Borough on Saturday.

Kayde Coppin bagged a brace for the visitors, the first coming after 23 minutes and the second on 64, with Ben Wharton replying for Boro 11 minutes from time.

Clitheroe remain unbeaten, but will have been very disappointed to have dropped two points at home against basement side Wakefield, who finally broke their duck.

It looked like being a routine win for the Lancastrians after goals from Daley Woods after 2 minutes and Danny Bell after 29 minutes had them two-up.

But Lee Turner reduced the arrears 8 minutes before the break and the visitors earned their first point when Harrison Blakey equalised right on half-time.

A brace from Lancaster City's Brazilian striker Rodrigo Branco helped the Dolly Blues make it two wins in two at Giant Axe against second-bottom Garforth Town.

Tom Kilifin poked home an equaliser after Garforth's 2nd minute scrambled opener from Miles Smith after some slow defending.

The rest of the goals came in the second half, with Branco and Max Rothwell both nodding in at the back post to make it 2-1 and 3-1.

Branco got his second with a sublime reverse flick to round off the win at 4-1.

Nathan Cartman`s goal 8 minutes from time proved enough for Harrogate Railway Athletic at Cammell Laird, while Mario Bonetta did likewise for Prescot Cables at the Victoria Pleasure Ground against Goole AFC.

When Anthony Lloyd put through his own net to give Burscough a 2-0 lead with just 7 minutes remaining at Ingfield against Ossett Town following David Lynch`s 4th minute opener, even die-hard home fans would have expected a defeat.

However, Liam Duff pulled one back after 85 minutes and Wes Milnes levelled it for Town in stoppage time.

Farsley AFC`s disappointing start to the season continued as they were held to a 1-1 Throstle Nest draw by Ramsbottom United, whose Lee Gaskell cancelled out Gareth Grant`s 15th minute opener for the hosts just past the hour-mark.
