In First Division North, Mossley moved three points clear at the top of the table after winning 2-1 at Valerie Park against Prescot Cables.
And they had to come back from being a Glyn Barker goal down right on half-time.
But Kayde Coppin equalised on 56 minutes and then David Young scored what proved to be the Whites` winner on the hour-mark.
Ossett Town moved up to fourth after an eventually comfortable 3-0 Ingfield win over Cammell Laird.
Simon Baldry put the home side in front after 18 minutes. However, it wasn`t until 7 minutes from time that the game was put to bed when Shane Kelsey added a second, and then Baldry scored a third in stoppage time.
In the First Division South, Coalville Town maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-1 win at The Scholars against Chasetown.
Lewis Dodd gave the Ravens an early 3rd minute lead that Cameron Stuart added to from the penalty spot in the 24th minute.
Nick Wellecomme pulled the hosts back into the game 10 minutes later, only for Callum Woodward this time to net from the spot to give Coalville a 3-1 half-time lead.
And 4 minutes after the break the Ravens made sure of victory with a fourth.
King`s Lynn Town moved into third place but were made to battle for the spoils against point-less Lincoln United at Ashby Avenue.
Chris Funnell gave the home side, who had lost all previous five games, a 49th minute lead, only for Jamie Forshaw to bag a brace for the Linnets in the 64th and 79th minute to give them the lead.
Stuart Reddington pulled the home side back on level terms though with only 5 minutes remaining. However, their hopes were dashed within a minute when Rob Hughes won it for the visitors.
