The vastly experienced 32-year-old prolific striker was previously with Middlesbrough, Scarborough, Guisborough Town and Billingham Synthonia, and is the brother of current Boro manager Tony.
Mowbray left Ainderby Road in September in order to join Norton, but he has been unable to establish himself in Conrad Hillerby's team, re-signed for Northallerton.
He scored once for Northallerton before his move, and another five for Norton, the latest being at Bedlington Terriers on December 3rd.
