Williams is well-travelled with over 300 League appearances to his name.
He started his career with Ryman League side Walton & Hersham, who sold him to West Ham United for £40,000 in April 2000.
He moved onto Peterborough following a successful loan spell without managing a Hammers` senior appearance.
Next was Birmingham City where he failed to get going and after loans to Queens Park Rangers, he went back to Peterborough, then onto Barnsley in 2004.
He then went to Gillingham, then Swansea, before joining Wycombe Wanderers.
Another return at Peterborough then led to another return and loan spell at QPR.
A loan to Preston did not earn him a deal and his contract at Peterborough ended.
He then signed a six-month contract at Bristol City, but he was promptly loaned out to Colchester United, before his City contract was terminated in January.
A move to Walsall followed in February 2011.
