Munn, who played for the Riversiders in the 2010/11 campaign, returns to the club after playing in Tenerife and Ireland for the last seven months.

Lacking match practice, the central defender is unlikely to be considered for first-team action for a number of weeks, but the return of the aggressive centre half is seen as a real boost for the Club.

The Riversiders meanwhile also hope to complete the signing of a young midfielder this week from a club playing higher in the non-League Pyramid, who trained with the team for the first time on Tuesday night.
