Neath Make Quickfire Start
Lee Trundle

...the first 14 minutes at home to Aberystwyth Town.

Lee Trundle out the Eagles ahead after just 5 minutes, with Paul Fowler credited with the second.

The visitors' task became even harder in the 18th minute when defender Sion James was dismissed after his second caution within a minute. With summer signing Lee Kendall out injured, Neath handed the gloves to Chris Doran, who has previous experience with Airbus UK Broughton, and he was beaten just before the half-hour by James McCarten as the Seasiders reduced the arrears.

It took Luke Bowen just 2 minutes to restore the two-goal cushion and Kerry Morgan added a fourth 5 minutes after the break before debutant central defender Wyn Thomas again reduced the arrears for the ten-men on the hour.
