....home to South Shields tomorrow. The newly-rebranded outfit - formerly known as Gillford Park - are offering Carlisle United season ticket holders the opportunity to see the game for half price.
In preparation for their first ever season of competing at this level the club have made a number of high-profile signings, including Darlington’s Paul Arnison and Graeme Lee and Hartlepool’s Adam Boyd.
Having watched his side see off the challenge of Billingham Synthonia in last weekend’s FA Cup tie, joint-manager Steve Skinner is adamant that while a cup run can be a welcome aside to the rigours of league football, promotion is undoubtedly the aim this year.
Skinner furthered bolstered his ranks this week with the signings of winger Jeff Smith and young Newcastle United midfielder Liam Henderson. Former Carlisle United star Smith, 32, joins following a spell with Whitby Town.
Youngster Henderson, meanwhile, has checked in on loan from the Tyneside giants and Skinner is keen to establish a link with the Magpies.
