....Sinclair as its new chairman.
After careful consideration the committee decided that the next figurehead of the club should be an individual who has helped at the club for years and has a great deal of experience at this level of the game.
Sinclair has been involved with Hertford Town since 2008, has previous experience as a referee and as secretary of the East Herts Corinthian League.
“I am honoured that prior to the AGM meeting the committee had voted me in as chairman for the forthcoming season as they feel they need continuity in what could be a difficult year for the club,” Sinclair said. “The renewal of the lease is the main priority - we need to ensure that football is played at Hertingfordbury Park on a long-term basis. There is a lot of hard work to be done on and off the pitch. This club needs to be part of the community once again.”
Since September 2011, the club had been run solely by the committee and volunteers. It is through the endeavours of these hardworking individuals that the club has stabilised and started to progress.
Recently the club has been awarded the FA Charter Standard - a kite mark for quality within grassroots football and testament to the hard work going on behind the scenes.
