....have signed new deals through to the summer of 2014.
"It's great to get the contracts finally sorted," explained Morrell, who has won nineteen and drawn six of his twenty-nine games in charge since being officially confirmed as Dean Saunders' replacement last October.
"With the games coming thick and fast, it's just been a case of trying to find some time to tie up the loose ends which we've done this week.
"We always said that the most important things was to try and get some of the players' long terms futures sorted first and that's exactly what we've done.
"Now we need to concentrate on making sure we end the season with something to really celebrate - promotion!"
As for Barr, previously assistant to Alan Irvine at both Preston and Sheffield Wednesday, the opportunity to help Wrexham return to the Football League is one he is relishing.
"The club has come a long way this season and it's important we recognise what has been achieved," he said.
"However, that will count for nothing if we miss out on our main goal and we know just how much promotion would mean to everyone connected with the club."
The duo also paid tribute to the efforts of Wrexham Supporters' Trust and the impact the change of ownership has had upon the stability of the Racecourse outfit.
"They've worked tremendously hard to turn things around, on and off the pitch, and they've supported us every step of the way," said Morrell.
"That's why we've decided to show our commitment to them by joining the Trust."
