....Stuart Ritchie begins the process of reshaping the Hawks for his inaugural season.
The new boss has completed contract negotiations with the squad and has issued a retained list of the core of the 2012/13 side.
Players already under contract are Chris Arthur, Eddie Hutchinson, Steve Ramsey, Perry Ryan, Sam Pearce, Ryan Woodford and Christian Nanetti. Joining them are Scott Jones, Ollie Palmer and Harvey Whyte, whose contract options have been taken up.
Signing new contracts to rejoin the side are Paul Hinshelwood and Jake Newton, and signing for the first time is goalkeeper Dan Thomas, who put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal on Tuesday.
Of the remaining players Bobby Hopkinson has been offered a three-month contract to prove his fitness, while negotiations are ongoing with Sammy Igoe, and Dan Thompson has returned to Portsmouth after the conclusion of his loan. Leon Cashman and Bobby Scott are not expected to return to the club.
Ritchie now has the task of adding to his side, with the expectation that the summer will see the arrival of at least three new players - a goalkeeper, a centre half and a forward. More may also come, dependent on the use of the budget Ritchie has been offered by the board.
