Saunders, who has experience at a number of clubs including Wigan Athletic, Altrincham, Ashton United, Hyde United and Chorley, came highly recommended to the Saxons and he will go immediately into the first-team squad to challenge Danny Taberner for the number one shirt.

Signing another goalkeeper had been a priority for the club over the past fortnight and Saunders will strengthen the club in that department immeasurably and it will be an interesting tussle between the goalkeepers over the starting spot throughout the season.
