The game, which had three red cards and four disallowed goals, saw K`s start with five new signing with four more on the bench.
Striker Andre McCollin, 27, was the only one of the K`s players to see red on his debut.
Signed from Tooting & Mitcham United, he has previously served Croydon Athletic, Farnborough, Yeovil, Fisher Athletic and Corinthian-Casuals.
Also starting for K`s for the first time were Kieran Murphy, Karl Murray, Dominic Sterling and Dean Lodge, who is back for a
Murphy is a 24-year-old defender previously with Carshalton Athletic, Ilkeston Town, Crawley Town, Walton & Hersham, Hendon, Maidenhead United and MK Dons.
Murray, 30, is an experienced midfielder signed from Sutton United who made over 100 League appearances with Shrewsbury.
He has since represented England `C` and played for the likes of Woking, Grays Athletic, Eastleigh, Bromley, Croydon Athletic and Carshalton.
Veteran defender Sterling, now 36, has also arrived from Tooting & Mitcham. He has had two spells with Wealdstone as well as spending time with Hayes, Aldershot, Canvey Island, Maidenhead and Staines Town.
Winger Lodge, 26, has also rejoined from Carshalton having has several spells at Kingsmeadow interspersed with periods with Bromley, Northwich Victoria, Basingstoke Town and QPR.
On the bench on Saturday were fellow new boys Goma Lambu, Craig Mullen, Charles Ofusu-Hene and Wade Small.
Lambu is a 27-year-old midfielder previously with Woking, Dulwich Hamlet, Mansfield Town, Redbridge, AFC Hornchurch, Tooting, Fisher Athletic and Millwall.
Mullen, 21, is a striker previously with Team Bath, while Ofusu-Hene, 21, was previously with Dulwich Hamlet and Small, 28, arrived from Margate having previously seen service with Tooting, Lewes, Chesterfield, Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons.
Three other new signings, Byron Napper, Mark Nwokeji and Matt Somner were not involved on the opening day.
Napper is a 20-year-old defender previously with Crawley Town, Nwokeji needed little introduction to K`s fans after returning to the club from Staines, while Somner, 29, is an experienced midfielder previously with Lewes, Forest Green Rovers, Mansfield, Notts County, Aldershot, Bristol Rovers, Cambridge United and Brentford.
