.....unveiling a new managerial team.
The club have appointed former Padiham duo Robert Grimes and Michael Morrison as joint-managers following the departure of Paul Paynter, who led the Blues back into the league, finishing fifteenth this past season.
Both Grimes, on Burnley’s books as a youngster, and Morrison know the league and local football scene well, and both ended last season with Ramsbottom United, helping the Rams win the Premier Division title.
The pair will both combine their management duties with a playing role, with the experience of former Barnoldswick Town man Manzar Ditta helping them out in the dug-out.
It is rumoured the club are looking to secure the services of former Huddersfield Town and Tranmere midfielder Adnan Ahmed and former Clitheroe striker Carl Lomax.
