.....whole new style of play at Silver Street next season, but that does not mean there will be a major change in personnel.

Jones revealed his intentions after agreeing to remain at the club for the forthcoming campaign, having previously expressed his disappointment at finishing fifth last season, despite leading the standings at the turn of the year. The Silver Street side also lost the Les Phillips Cup final to Bristol Manor Farm, but Jones claims that he is ready for another crack at some silverware at the helm of a new-look Willand side.

"Now that I have had some rest and a good look at things I am ready to go again," explained Jones, whose side will welcome Elmore in the first round of the Devon St Luke's Bowl, with the winners hosting npower League Two outfit Exeter City.

"I just wanted to clear a few things up with the chairman and the club first because I felt we had hit a bit of a brick wall.

"We are looking to bring in a new style and some new players too, provided they are available and are good enough to play for us.

"It does not mean I am going to get rid of all of the established players – I may start with exactly the same team as I had last season.

"I have said to myself that we need to change things by bringing in some new players and some younger players too.

"It just needed changing. I have already told some of the players how I want them to play and they are behind me.

"It may take a bit of time, that is my worry, but I wanted to tell the club that so they are not asking me why if things don't go smoothly at the start of the season."

Jones' rebuilding mission has already received a timely boost with the news that four key players from last season's squad have agreed to stay at Silver Street for the forthcoming season.

Captain Rob Norrish, centre back Simon Hill, hot prospect Ben Mammola and midfielder James Ansell have all agreed to stay for another term, despite interest from other clubs, providing a welcome fillip for Jones.

"Ben Mammola, Rob Norrish, James Ansell and Simon Hill are all staying and they will form the spine of my team next season," he said.

"They are four quality players and have been spoken to by other clubs but all four have told me that they are staying. They are ready and they are keen.

"I have had no reports of players leaving. I know some clubs were looking at some of my players because Willand do have some good players."
