No Hesitation in Answering Mings` Call
Ian Herring

....Southern Premier Division club Chippenham Town to help ease their injury crisis.

The 27-year-old midfielder returned to Hardenhuish Park on loan from Blue Square Bet South Eastleigh at the end of last week and played the full 90 minutes in the goalless draw with Leamington last weekend.

Herring featured against Chippenham in Eastleigh’s FA Trophy defeat to the Bluebirds last November and the former Swindon Town man has not ruled out staying beyond his initial one-month loan deal.

“I got suspended just when the takeover happened at Eastleigh. They brought in a few players and I haven’t really been featuring lately,” said Herring, who originally left Chippenham to join Salisbury City in 2007.

“I got the call about going to Chippenham last Thursday and I was happy to go to help them out.

“I played with Adie and was managed by him too so he knows me well. I know what he asks and if I’m not playing well, I won’t get into the team.

“Chippenham are always there or thereabouts in their league and I know a lot of the lads there still. I’m there for a month but I’m taking things game by game and we’ll see what happens.”
