Baker Joiner Midland Alliance club Coventry Sphinx have announced that Carl Nolan has been appointed as the new first-team manager.

Carl Nolan

Nolan arrives at Sphinx Drive having served as manager of Midland Combination neighbours Coventry Copsewood for four years.

Coventry Sphinx chairman Dannie Cahill commented: "It was vital we got the right man for the job and with doubt we have done just that. Carl impressed the interview panel and we are confident he will enhance what we are trying to achieve at this football club."

The appointment comes as a result of the departure of Danny McSheffery at the end of last season.
