Lee Madin`s 9th minute strike put the visitors ahead, but a Brian Matthews hat-trick had the hosts in control at the break, before two each from Andy Keogh and Wayne Welbeck – brother of Manchester United`s Danny - and another from Danny Egan topped off an amazing win for the Blues.
Leaders Bootle maintained their 100% record with a 2-0 win over Peter Withe`s Stockport Sports, with Lee Thompson and Kevin Black on the scoresheet, while Barnoldwick Town beat St Helens Town 4-2, despite nearly blowing a three-goal lead in the second half.
AFC Blackpool managed to cling on to a 1-1 draw with Runcorn Linnets, despite going down to just eight men!
Ashton Athletic climbed off the bottom with a 1-0 win over Glossop North End, while Padiham won by the same scoreline at Stone Dominoes.
James McShane and Tom Spearitt scored a goal in each half as Runcorn Town overcame Bacup Borough 2-0, leaving the visitors without a point after four matches.
Two goals from Danny Doherty in the second period helped Congleton Town to a comfortable 3-0 win over Squires Gate – the Bears first win of the season.
