Scott Mason who is part of the Maltby Main management team says their encouraging start to the season is down to team spirit writes Tom Feaheny.
He joined the club alongside Mark Askwith and John Crossland near the end of July.
Main have so far gained ten points from their opening six games, with their two losses being in tight match being decided by the odd goal.
Mason says considering the changes they had to make it has been a good start.
“We have had a great start to the season, we have had to bring in 18 new signings in the space of a few weeks, all we have asked for is work rate and commitment.
He added: “We have got the players working for each other, we have set standards out. We know if we can play at that high level the results will come.”
Mason spoke about the players they have brought in and how they got in such a big number in a short space of time.
“The team haven’t had a pre-season, we run a Sunday club, we brought most of them lads in. We got some lads from clubs like Frickley, brought the local lads in as well.
“We all know each others game. The management team I am a part of wants this club to go as high as we can. Everyone both on and off the pitch is together.”
The club also announced striker Ross Duggan and defender Brad Morton had joined the club. As they continue to add to the team.
