There has been some disappointing news for supporters of Evo-Stik League North club Colwyn Bay.

Striker Gary Burnett has been ruled out with injury until Christmas.

That follows results of a scan on the knee he injured towards the end of last season at Shaw Lane.

Manager Phil Hadland told the club`s official website: “Obviously it is a big blow for Gaz and also the club, but we will do everything possible to get him fit and ready to play as soon as possible.”

Gary Grant, who has also has a knee problem, is expected to have a scan on his return from holiday this week.

The manager also reports: “Astley Mulholland and Will Booth have returned from holiday this week and will be working hard to get up- to the same fitness levels as the rest of the group.”

Meanwhile, Iwan Cartwright has decided to leave the club in pursuit of playing at a higher level.
