Former Newcastle United striker Lomana LuaLua trained with Evo-Stik North club South Shields last night.
The 36-year-old, who scored nine goals in 67 appearances for the Magpies, joined in with last season’s FA Vase and Evo Stik League First Division North winners at training.

LuaLua left Newcastle for Portsmouth in 2004 before signing for Olympiacos in 2007. The last time he played in England was for Blackpool in 2011, having spent the past five years in Turkey, turning out for Karabukspor, Caykur Rizespor, Akhisar Belediyespor and Sanliurfaspor.
It is unknown whether LuaLua will continue training with the club or if he’ll feature in their pre-season friendly against Sunderland U23s tomorrow evening.
