Jack Turner earned high praise from one of his new Slough Town managers for his performance in his first game for the club.
Turner signed for Slough in the summer from Staines Town because he said he wanted to win things.
His first job was to keep our Sky Bet League Two club Wycombe – and he didn’t let the side down.
Rebels joint manager Neil Baker has already seen enough from the new signing to suggest he will be a solid addition to the Evo-Stik South Premier outfit’s team.
From our point of view delighted with the fitness of players, especially when you factor in the heat. 12th August is when it counts though!

“We have to be pleased with Saturday,” he said. “It was hot but the fitness levels were great. Wycombe are a good side.
“Jack, we thought, was excellent. He made about three or four excellent saves and kept it at 0-0.
“We knew what a good keeper he was before he signed and we were delighted he chose to come and play here.”
Turner may be in action tonight and will be hopeful of a second clean sheet when they face Wealdstone.
Slough Town discover their fixtures for the new season later this week and Baker says the club are hopeful again of producing a promotion push. They lost in the playoff semi-final to Leamington.
